Audio Help
Playing MP3 files
All of our archived content is
being offered in MP3 format for improved performance. The MP3 file will
still play in Real Player, or whatever media player is selected in your browser
preferences.
Help with Real Audio
Most of the audio files on The
Church on the Web are provided in a RealAudio format. These formats allow
you to listen to our audio content in real time without having to wait for your
computer to download a large file. You can download a free copy of
RealPlayer by clicking the link in the right-hand column.
Help with iTunes for Podcasting
More and more of our audio programs
are becoming available as a podcast and can be delivered automatically to your
desktop and easily transferred to an iPod or other portable device.
Popular podcast players include iTunes (Windows/Mac),
iPodder (for
Windows) (for
Mac), or Doppler (Windows
only).
iTunes Instructions
To add feeds manually using iTunes,
click on the "podcasts" menu item on the left hand side of the iTunes window,
just beneath "Library". On the top menu, click "Advanced" and choose "Subscribe
to Feed". In the window, paste in the desired feed and click OK. The feed will
now appear in the podcasts main window of your iTunes. Right-click on the feed
and choose "Update podcast" to get the latest podcast segments.
Scheduling: Click on the "podcasts" menu item on the left
hand side underneath "Library". Click on the podcast feed you'd like to schedule
and click on the "Settings" button on the bottom right of your iTunes. Under "podcasts"
and "check for new episodes" you can set your iTunes to check and download new
feeds automatically either hourly, daily, weekly, etc.
